One family.
The sea of Sciacca.
Since 1950, our work has started here.
Roots in the sea.
Eyes on the future.
Pasquale Carlino passed on to his children his care for the catch and for the work. From Sciacca, we carry this family story forward.
The tradition of preserving fish meets investment in processes and formats. Our six lines express the many sides of this work.
Our story
Choose a year to see how we have grown.

The beginnings
Pasquale Carlino carries on the family business in Sciacca and founds Dimino & Carlino with his brother-in-law.

The family name
Dimino & Carlino becomes Carlino Srl. The family takes full control of the business.

Production grows
We invest in the technology to produce anchovy fillets in oil and anchovy paste in-house. Exports begin.

Caring for our processes
Investment in production goes hand in hand with ISO 14001 environmental certification.

La Barchetta
We introduce our patented format for vacuum-sealed trays. A new way to preserve and present anchovies.

Fior d’Acciuga
Fior d’Acciuga is born. A renewed brand accompanies the growth of our lines.

From Sciacca to the world
We strengthen our distribution in Italy and in 21 countries across five continents.

First comes
the sea.
Sciacca is where we started and where we still work. The harbour, the catch and skilled hands hold our story together.

Memory
in our hands.
Photographs from the early years show shared work: fish on the tables, hands salting, tins ready to go.
Today in Sciacca we produce salted anchovies, fillets in oil and seafood specialities. Alongside traditional craft, we use modern packaging technology.
Formats change over time. Our bond with the catch stays at the centre.
